Salon Daydreaming....

I've had a headache for three days now!! It's AWFUL! I think it's allergies-since my car is yellow from pollen I guess that makes sense.

Naturally, the only thing that would make me feel better is indulging in some online shopping. I got a new Miracle Bra (because I always want the girls to be bigger) swimsuit from Victoria's Secret and some clothing...a few things to wear for fun and a few things for work. I got the swimsuit in black and I can't wait to try it out. VS Miracle Bra swimsuits are all I wear and I LOVE them. I've been pretty good about hitting the gym so I'm excited about trying this out!

My newest guilty pleasure if Jerseylicious. I love it!! Secretly, I've wanted to do hair for a long time. My roommate from freshman year reminded me that I was talking about going to hair school way back then. I don't really know why I didn't. I guess I forgot all about it, until she reiminded me.

Tracey is my favorite on Jerseylicious. Maybe I'll go to hair school one day. Right now I'm pretty content with my job.
And I can't leave out my old favorite, Tabatha's Salon Takeover. I love her! I guess it really is my secret wish to do hair since I have been enamored of Tabatha for a while now.

Doesn't doing hair for a living just look like it would be fun?!

Glad it's Hump Day. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Gimme....

"Gimme Just A Little More Time"...even though this is an old song, I think it is MY new favorite song. This song, by General Johnson and The Chairmen of the Board (who I absolutley LOVE - they sing another favorite, Carolina Girls) has been stuck in my head for almost two weeks now. I'm not complaining, I love oldies, and given the giddy mood I've been in since my recent "Mr. Big" reunion, it's been all I want to listen to.

I'm still flying high and on Cloud 9 from it all!!

I copied the video for any of you that want to listen to the song. Enjoy :-)

I need to get caught up on reading all of your blogs!

TGIF....

So happy today is Friday! I thought this week would never end. I feel like I say that every week though.

I haven't had much time to blog. Things at work have been busy and to be honest, my thoughts haven't been where they should be. I've been spending time w/ my first real love and when I'm at work I've had a lot of trouble concentrating! I just want to stare out the window and day dream!

When I've been around him I feel like a teenager again! All the feelings I used to have and the thrill of falling in love for the first time come back as if the last seven years never happened at all.

I love how he and I can go do any old thing and have the MOST fun I've ever had! Sunday we went to the Jockey Lot to look at a bunch of junk (because that's all there is at the Jockey Lot) and I swear it was the BEST time! After that we went and rode Jet Skis and of course he had to make sure I fell overboard into the cold lake water :-)

I've been keeping things very much on the DL. I have not told my family (my Mom is not the biggest fan, and she has her reasons), haven't posted anything on my facebook, and I've only told my closest friends about this reunion. I don't really want to get excited or tell a lot of people until I see how things pan out this time. After all, this is the guy I call "My Mr. Big" so if you are a Sex and the City fan you can just imagine....Let's just say there has been no shortage of drama over the years.

Sweet Home Alabama reminds me of him. I actually saw this movie with another guy years ago when it was new and was thinking about HIM the whole time!

Speaking of movies, I really hope to see The Last Song over the weekend. I was kind of dissapointed in Dear John so I'm hoping The Last Song will be more on the level of The Notebook. Has anyone seen it yet? Loved it? I enjoyed the book so I have high hopes for the movie. Here's hoping I won't be dissapointed. AND it's a movie about First Love so I KNOW I'll like that part :)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I won! I won!

I won a giveaway my friend did on her blog, Bronzed Beauty Blog. . I was super excited because first of all, I never win anything like this, and secondly, I love looking forward to getting a surprise in the mail. Let me tell you a few things about Bronzed Beauty, she's fab! BEAUTY is right! She is, like myself, a former pageant queen (and says she may even give pageants another go!). She hails from one of my favorite places, Atlanta. Seriously, I have been in withdrawls for an Atlanta trip. When I worked at my old job I spent several weeks each year in Atlanta. How I miss having all my meals paid for by work for an entire week, a room at the Marriott, and being close to the best shopping and eating! The stressed-out-over-worked part, that I don't miss so much!

Yesterday my package arrived at work and I ripped into it immediately. My co-workers must have thought I was crazy because there was bright colored tissue paper all over my office floor from where I tore into the package with excitement. I won a fabulous collection of Art Deco Nail Polish. This nail polish comes in a skinny little bottle (as you can see in the picture) and has a long wand to do nail designs with. I would recommend this if you want to try doing nail designs at home. I also really like that the polish is sparkly. I love sparkles in nail polish, it reminds me of middle school.
I really need to practice my skills at using this stuff! As you can see from the picture of my toes, I struggled. In my defense, I realized after I was done (ahem, quit from frustration - I'm a perfectionist) I should have worn my glasses and I should have tried this in room with brighter lighting so I could see better.
My roommate pointed out to me that my "flower" design looks exactly like I painted pot leaves onto my toes!

Bronzed Beauty also included a few bonus polishes in some colors I'm really looking forward to trying. Jade green is supposed to be really in for nail polishes this year and she sent me one. I'll let you know how I like it when I try it out.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. As usual, I'm glad Friday is tomrrow and I'm looking forward to Easter (and the goodies in my Easter Basket).
